Art therapy program

Coming together poster

In the world of adolescent addiction recovery, there is no better form of healing the conscious and unconscious self than through artistic expression. It reaches all levels of meaning without a word spoken. The Art Therapy Program on the Renaissance Campus provides the clients with the opportunity to use a variety of art materials to release feelings and explore concerns in a safe environment. They become familiar with this healthy outlet which gives them a life-long tool to recovery.

The actual art pieces create concrete evidence for their abstract and misunderstood thoughts and feelings. The art is also utilized as an on-going record that portrays progress in treatment. One can always learn from past art pieces as patterns arise throughout time and issues are manifested in the art. For more information, please contact Julie O'Connor.
