In addition to supporting the Renaissance Campus, Kids Escaping Drugs engages Buffalo area youth through a unique outreach opportunity. The Peer Awareness program brings panels of Renaissance Campus clients into schools and community centers to engage middle and high school students in frank discussions about how drugs and alcohol have personally affected their lives as Western New York teenagers.
To have a Peer Awareness Panel at your school, you must reach the criteria below:
1. Must fundraise or hold a fundraiser for the Kids Escaping Drugs Campaign within the calendar school year.**
2. Our first priority is to share the dangers of drugs and alcohol with middle school students; however, we will visit area high schools
3. All panels must be conducted between the hours of 11:00am - 2:30pm
To plan your school’s Peer Awareness Panel, please call our the KED offices at (716) 827-9462.
**The Kids Escaping Drugs Campaign helps schools and community or church youth groups coordinate fundraisers tailored to their specific interests to raise funds for the Renaissance Campus and its programs.
