
Kids Escaping Drugs Receives $11,000 Grant from the
UPS Foundation
The Kids Escaping Drugs Campaign received an $11,000 grant from The UPS Foundation, the charitable arm of UPS. The grant will be used to support the Campaign’s FACE 2 FACE educational outreach and early intervention program.
The program is designed to show Western New York adolescents the real life consequences of drug and alcohol use while educating parents and teachers about current trends and concerns.

2nd Annual Kids Escaping Drugs Summit Addresses
Teen Drug Use
Over 200 teens in grades 6th - 11th and their teachers/counselors will come together on the Renaissance Campus on Friday, April 24 for a candid conversation on teenage drug and alcohol use. High School seniors and Renaissance Campus Alumni will act as mentors for the summit. In all, 18 school districts will be participating in the 3 hour conference aimed at challenging students to be part of the solution to underage drug and alcohol use. The Summit starts at 10:00 am and continues through 1:00 pm at the Renaissance Campus at 920 Harlem Road in West Seneca, NY. Read more.
Kids Escaping Drugs Receives York Grant
The York Children’s Foundation announces the award of a $1,500.00 grant to the Kids Escaping Drugs Peer Awareness Program. The Peer Awareness Program brings residents from the Renaissance Campus in West Seneca to speak to students at area middle and high schools about their struggle with drug and alcohol abuse. Through the program, students learn first hand where experimentation with drugs and alcohol can lead. The clients share their personal stories of addiction and the negative consequences of their behavior. The program is offered free of charge to any school that requests it.

Corvette Caravan Cares about KEDS
The Corvette Club of Buffalo will be rolling onto the Renaissance Campus on Thursday, October 16th. Members of the club will be presenting proceeds from their annual show to the Kids Escaping Drugs Campaign at 7pm. Read More.
The First Annual Ortho Sports Physical Therapy Walk-A-Thon
Buffalo, NY (October 1, 2008) –OrthoSports Physical Therapy will be having a Walk-A-Thon to benefit Kids Escaping Drugs. The 1st annual Walk- A-Thon will be held on Saturday October 4, 2008. The 5k walk will take off from the south end of the Clarence bike path and go along the remainder of the bike path. A post party will be held at the pavilion. We anticipate 300 walkers for this 1st annual event with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Kids Escaping Drugs Campaign. Read more.
Ski Event to Benefit Kids Escaping Drugs

HoliMont Ski Resort, Ellicottville, NY
The beautiful HoliMont Ski Resort in Ellicottville, NY will once again host the 10th annual SkiScape to benefit Kids Escaping Drugs. The January 6th event will feature skiing, snowboarding and learn and improve workshops. Interested participants can enter races and everyone is invited to cheer on the firefighter competition. Teams from volunteer fire companies will compete in full firefighting gear as they race downhill. US Ski Champions Kelly and Corey Hacker will be offering free lessons during the event. First Student, Inc. (formally Laidlaw) is offering FREE BUS TRANSPORTATION to any group of 20 or more to Ellicottville! Read more.
