KED Summit

""

The Kids Escaping Drugs Summit was created to bring students, teachers and counselors together on our campus to introduce them to the Face 2 Face program and share valuable insights. Following are the summit agendas for the students and counselors.

2010 KED Summit A Huge Success
Nearly 200 6-11 graders from 31 area schools were surveyed at the 2010 KED Summit on March 11. Students were hand selected to participate in the Summit based on their leadership skills and positive decision making ability. As the survey indicates, even our student leaders are facing many challenges regarding drug and alcohol use. Particularly disturbing to Summit organizers were the amount of children who don’t actively use but put themselves at risk by putting them in situations where others are under the influence. Also upsetting was the response to the question on suicide.
