Treatments

""

At the Renaissance Campus, we take time to guide adolescents and their parents through the treatment process to ensure they have a full understanding of their options and steps to recovery.

The treatment program, called the Discovery Program, has four phases and is designed to motivate and assist adolescents on their road to recovery.

Phase #1 is a time of assessment and orientation to engage clients in the treatment process.

Phase #2 is a time for clients to learn about addiction and take an active part in planning for recovery.

Phase #3 is a time for clients to strengthen their commitment to a drug free lifestyle and to practice sober living.

Phase #4 is a time for clients to further develop the skills necessary to establish a solid aftercare program, including off campus Voc-Ed pursuits and/or employment.

Treatment Departments

Clinical
Our counseling staff utilizes a variety of activities including: group therapy, lectures, specialized groups, Art Therapy, individual counseling and multidisciplinary team treatment planning to assist clients in learning how to change and abstain from drugs.

Medical
Our medical team provides professional assistance during this important time of physical recovery and return to good health. Lectures are provided on medical aspects of addiction and ways to maintain healthy bodies.

Family
We believe that working with family and loved ones is critical to the recovery process. Family counseling offers an opportunity for family members to identify the stress of living with dysfunction and replace it with healthy alternatives for a productive life.

Education
Adolescents continue their education or resume their education under the guidance of Certified New York State teachers.  Each client is assessed for appropriate educational needs and our teachers then coordinate each adolescent’s current curriculum with his or her home school district.  We are also a GED preparation and testing site.

Vocational
Clients are administered aptitude tests and provided with career counseling and academic advisement. Clients explore and may participate in vocational training and/or employment opportunities.

Recreation
Our recreation program is designed to strengthen self-image and provide for both individual and group sportsmanship. Activities are also planned to foster the recovery of the family and improve ability to understand and communicate with each other.
