Kids Escaping Drugs provides vocational outreach services to all Renaissance Campus clients and alumni. These services include educational/vocational counseling, career exploration, resume and cover letter preparation, job readiness training, campus apprenticeships and job placement assistance. All clients complete an interest assessment and meet with the vocational outreach coordinator to explore education/vocation options based on their educational status. Clients completing specific treatment levels are eligible for additional services.
College, financial aid and scholarship application, placement testing, and program requirement assistance is available to clients and alumni planning on continuing their education. Campus visits can be arranged. Those clients attending post secondary training receive support services through the vocational outreach office.
The Campus has developed strong partnerships with people and companies that are firmly committed to our mission of helping kids. Clients interested in employment can participate in practice interviews, job shadowing, resume writing, internet search and other job placement services.
Monthly seminars are open to campus residents interested in learning of different career possibilities. They hear from real people about their vocational journeys and learn the secrets of their success.
All clients are encouraged and assisted in making realistic and mature decisions regarding their recovery, academic plans and career goals.
