How/why did you get started at KED/SFC? My fiancé and I have been hoping to relocate to this area for the past few years. Over that time, I applied for a few positions, but none felt like the right fit. When I came across the job description for Coalition Director, I was thrilled at the opportunity to continue my work with youth and substance use prevention.
How do you connect with KED's and SFC's missions? I have been working in prevention for the past four years, and I am passionate about building strong, resilient communities. The SFC mission, especially the focus on "empowering young people to become the next generation of resilient leaders," deeply resonates with me.
What are you most looking forward to about KED/SFC? I’m most excited about the chance to continue building on the amazing projects started by previous directors, while also bringing new events and ideas to the table so I can make my own positive impact on the community.
What is something that always makes you smile? Wildlife—whether it's a toad hopping by a butterfly resting on a flower, or the robin’s nest outside my office window. I love watching them experience life in their own unique way.
Ranch or Blue Cheese? I have to formally apologize to all the proud Buffalo residents—but I love ranch dressing… no blue cheese for me!
What was your dream job as a child? As a child, my dream job was to be a veterinarian. But once I realized it involved more than just playing with puppies and kittens—and that there would be some sad moments too—I quickly changed my mind!
