Get to know Jodie Altman!

How/why did you get started at KED?

I have been on the KED Campus since it started in 1990.  I believe in the mission of KED and have spent my whole career in the treatment world up until now.  When it was time for a change, KED was a perfect fit because the goal still remains to help kids and their families who struggle with addiction. Working at KED I now have the privilege of working with an amazing group of strong women who have a passion for the mission and for making KED the best it can be.

What has been the most impactful experience for you during your time at KED

Continuing to see firsthand how strong the community support is for KED and its missionWhether they are regular donors or donors new to KED, the generosity stops me in my tracks every time.

What are you most proud of KED accomplishing this past year?

At the beginning of the year, we set a goal of doing better than the year before, and we achieved the goal!  I am most proud to be the leader of this amazing organization!

What is something that is on your bucket list?

Going in a hot air balloon.

What is something that always makes you smile?

My nieces and nephew.

What quotes have you heard that have stuck with you?

From one of my mentors and founder of KED, Dick Gallagher, “it is what it is!”
