What are you studying?

I am a Health and Human Services major with a focus on Community Mental Health, and a minor in Addiction Studies

Where are you from?

I am from Queens, New York but I am currently living in Amherst as my family is planning to move out of Queens to Albany.

What drew you to interning with KED?

I had an interview with the director for one of my classes, and I felt like the work they were doing was vital to combatting the drug epidemic in WNY.

What do you hope to learn/work on at KED?

I hope to learn more about the fight against the opioid crisis, and how I as an individual can make a positive impact in my community.

What is something that is on your bucket list?

I want to be able to make a positive impact in someone’s life and leave behind a legacy that people can learn from.

Ranch or Blue Cheese?

The ONLY right answer is Blue Cheese. Ranch is made for sandwiches, NOT wings.

Flats or drumsticks?

Drumsticks, there isn’t enough meat on flats.

What quotes have you heard that have stuck with you?

Regret is just suffering twice” I like this quote a lot because I feel people too often dwell on their mistakes rather than viewing them as learning experiences. Reliving moments you regret is not only counterintuitive but prevents growth.

What’s the number one thing you wish more people knew about you?

I love all types of music; I feel like it is one of the best ways people can tell stories and express their emotions. I can go from listening to Korn to Coldplay to Kendrick Lamar.

What was your dream job as a child?

When I grew up, I wanted to be in a band!
