"A couple of weeks ago I hit one year nicotine free. This is something, honestly, I thought never possible. The addiction to it had me in a choke hold. I had to always have it on me. I had to completely rewire how I did things. And I worked hard to get one year free.

I started smoking cigarettes at 13. I started smoking cigarettes and vaping at 19 and finally quit at 25. I took my vape most places with me, always had to have at least one in my possession.

There had been conversations with my loved ones telling me I need to quit on several occasions. I even had some health problems due to vaping. Nothing made me want to quit. I always said after this vape, or when this vape dies. Finally, after years of using nicotine one day, I was just done. I decided to throw my vape away and I haven’t picked up one since. Vaping was a hard thing to kick. I am not saying it is easy. But it is worth it.

A lot of things have changed for me. In the best way. I don’t feel tied down to an object that I must always have, know where it is and if I lose it immediately go buy a new one. I have saved over six hundred dollars in a little over a year vape free. I don’t have to walk away from my friends that don’t vape to be able to hit my vape not around them. I breathe better, I feel like I have built my stamina back. I don’t have to do the math during the day on when I will be able to hit it. Most of all, my loved ones don’t have to worry about my vape causing problems for my health anymore."
